The Merchants Difference - Training

All of our employees must undergo and pass an intensive 6 week, hands-on training curriculum before being paired with an experienced crew leader. This assures that each of our new candidates can achieve our high standards for superior customer service and professionalism.

Pack School

Pack school is our uniquely designed on-site instruction facility that simulates a typical home. The proper wrapping, packing and loading of household items from fragile crystal and antiques to high-end electronics and appliances can be taught and experienced in a practical hands-on environment. This intense training pays off in a level of skill, care and expertise many moving companies simply can't deliver.

Our full-time trainer is a state-certified CDL (Commercial Drivers License) examiner with years of moving experience at Merchants. On average our crew leaders have been with Merchants for 12 plus years.
